iPhone - How To Set Up Your Voice Mail on the iPhone

Posted under Competitors, Iphone Rumors, Personal, iPhone Cracking, iPhone articles by aaSma on Saturday 23 May 2009 at 4:36 pm

Have you just bought a new iPhone and are having a hard time getting the voice mail set up? You may have spent hours on the phone with customer service and gotten nowhere. Here, you will find the help you need to get your voice mail set up easily.

The first thing is not to put the SIM card from your old phone into your iPhone. Everything else will work but you voice mail and visual mail will likely not work. If you go to an AT&T store, you can get a new SIM put in your phone and help with getting everything from your old SIM card transferred to it.

Now you are ready for the next step. Call customer service at AT&T (the exclusive iPhone service provider in the US) and tell the representative that you need to setup voice mail. Be sure to tell him or her to check to make sure the forwarding feature to forward calls to your voice mail is turned on. This is something that is often overlooked by customer service representatives. Once this is done, you are ready to actually setup voice mail.

Before you begin, it is a good idea to know what password you want to use. Might write down what you want to record as your outgoing message, too. Doing this will save time and make the process to setup voice mail go smoother.

Your password should be between 6 and 15 characters. Make sure it is something you can remember but others will find impossible to guess. Now you tap the voice mail icon on your iPhone. You will be asked to create a password at this point. Enter the password you have created and then you will be asked to record a greeting. You will have the option of using a default iPhone voice mail greeting that will include your phone number or you can record your own. You can change your greeting at any time by tapping voice mail, greeting, custom and then record. Do not forget to save your greeting once you are satisfied with it.

Students at Penn state who subscribe to Penn iPhone can log in to My iPhone and setup voice mail for their iPhones. PennKey authentication will be required. Once on the home page, look for Features and Voice Mail and go to that page. Here, you will put in the password you have created. You can change this password at any time by logging in on My iPhone or through the voice mail icon on your phone. After you have entered your password, re-enter it is the field, Confirm Password. After up press the submit button, your account will be updated to include it.

To record your greeting, press the ‘messages’ button, it will be to the right of the keypad. Press ‘0′ to bring up the mailbox options. From there, you will be prompted to choose the type of greeting you want, such as busy, unavailable and name. Then you will get a prompt from the system to record your greeting. When you are finished, choose accept, listen and, if you desire, re-record. When you are satisfied with your greeting, press * or # to go back to the menu or exit.

iPhone Unlocking Safe

Posted under Latest News, Personal, iPhone Cracking, iPhone articles by aaSma on Saturday 23 May 2009 at 4:35 pm

Since Apple released its latest gadjet, the Apple iPhone, over 5 million units have been sold. Aplle Expects to sell atleast another 12 million units in 2008 worldwide. Apple keeps improving their gadjet, and rumors are that they will soon release a 3G version iPhone for the European market. Wich will probably increase its popularity even more. Apple Estimates that around 20% of the iPhones that are being sold are being unlocked. Wich means breaking it free from network restrictions, so you can use any SIM card and any provider in your iPhone. Benefits of unlocking are clear: You can make cheaper calls, use local SIMcards when you travel and your not bound to any contract to be able to use the iPhone.

Peter Smit told us that there are many unlocking solutions available onlina and offline. One solution is even better then the other when you beleive the marketing stories. Fact is that 90% of the people who try to unlock their iPhone by themselves, have no idea what they are doing.

“When you unlock your iPhone you are flashing the core of your Phone, this brings many risks. In some of the cases you will permanently damage your $400,- Dollars iPhone, or load it with virusses or other malware that is constructed into the unlocking software” Unfortunately there are a lot of people who are still willing to take this risk. Many of them end up with a $400, broken - unusable ‘brick’.

“In many cases we are able to repair the broken phones via a new software flash, but it some cases there is no option left then to dump the phone in the garbage, as Apple does not give any warranty to unlocked phones.”

The lesson to learn is to be careful if you want to unlock your iPhone. Benefits are clear, consider the downsides of unlocking as well. And IF you decide to unlock your precios gadjet, make sure you do it with a service that understands what they are doing. Peter Smit Robert is the owner of an iPhone Unlocking Site. An unofficial iPhone app Store is now open!

Posted under Iphone Rumors, iPhone Cracking by xual on Monday 6 April 2009 at 12:11 am

A new online store for iPhone called Cydia is now opened for iPhone fans. Cydia Store offers the goods which are paid for unauthorized apps for jailbroken iPhones. Cydia Store will sell hundreds iPhone apps which aren’t available through Apple’s official store, and they require Jailbroken iPhones. For example their is one application for turning the iPhone into a modem for laptop and another turns the iPhone into a camcoder, or it could also include adult games, which are not sold in Apple’s App Store. So you can get this apps in Cydia Store. Cydia is the kind of installer that has available for a while. Thats according to the Cydia creator, Jay Freeman, who decided to go a step further and open a app store. Cydia Store will charge a commission rate similar to that used by Apple for App Store iPhone apps, but will offer a different range of applications. These will be the apps Apple deems unsuitable for the App Store and that got rejected; as well as those from developers who just bypass the App Store route completely. Payments will be handled via Amazon Payments, but they will switch to PayPal before too long due to popular demand. Apple already looked like it was getting ready to take action against jailbreaking solutions. A statement (PDF) filed with the U.S. Copyright Office in February stated that jailbreaking the iPhone is illegal under the Digital Millenium Copyright Act. If it happens then Cydia Store will be closed due to illegal stuffs. Apple hasn’t taken any legal action against companies preparing their own iPhone application stores. Last month, the company filed a 27-page statement with the U.S. Copyright Office, making the case that modifying the software on the iPhone is illegal.

Apple do have proof that it is illegal, so however but it could take a bit time. Cydia Store is a bit controversial but could be a popular destination for iPhone users and could grow its base of available applications.  It’s true that many applications are free. But there are also thousands of applications that cost 99 cents or more. Piper Jaffray estimates that Apple’s App Store generated about $150 million in sales last year and projects that total sales will grow to $800 million this year, the Journal reported.

If you haven’t already seen the video, then watch it if you need a visual aid in performing this act successfully. First of all, this technique will work in any of the versions: (2.0, 2.1, 2.2)

So, first task is quickpwn:

  • Extract it and run it (QuickPwn GUI).
  • Then select iphone, iphone 3g or ipod touch. Run the firmware that you are currently running. Then Select the icons that show up (Boot logos, and installer)
  • If you can’t find your firmware downloaded via Itunes, then follow this.
Open a folder and go to “My computer”. Go to tools tab and folder options-> make hidden files visible. Afterwards, follow this path–> Local disk( C( can be different for you))–> Documents/settings/–> username—> application data, ap

Command Process

* Please note that this process does not work with iphone 2g*

  • Now.. you hit the pwnage process ( Will run in Cmd)
  • Later, you will get instructions from the cmd prompt on how to complete the installation
  • You will have to turn on/off your gadget, just follow the easy instructions
  • When the process is all done, your ipod will rutn white, making the cmd run aa across the process ( in the cmd prompt).
  • Ipod will turn off and on again, marking a completion for the process ( you are down pwning)

Final stage

  • Open up your gadget and turn it on. Go to Settings–> auto-lock–> and time it for about 5 minutes or so.
  • Then, go to Cydia and let the app install all the updates
  • Later, go to sections, all packages and select “Bosstool”. Install it ( You are still in Cydia)
  • Now, exit all the programs and open up BossTool.
  • You can move around your fonts now.

Installer

  • Open up installer and follow this — > Categories—>Sources—> install sources
  • Personally, I use installer and it works great

Now, this is it. No more instructions, no more hassle. Your ipod/iphone is unlocked and you are free to do whatever you wish. Once again, if you had trouble following the written instructions, please watch the video.

How to crack your iPhone - Method 1

Posted under Firmware, Personal, Quick Pwn, Videos, iPhone Cracking by Kalpesh on Saturday 21 March 2009 at 11:53 pm

So you think you can make your life productive by virtually applying iPhone applications in your life?

Well your parents (or you) made a good decision when they bought it for you, and I will show you how you can maximize your phone right here.

To begin with, what you first want to do is crack the iPhone. Now there are many ways to do it. If you got it a year ago, you would have done what I did- Download a firmware (1.1-1.4), restore your iphone to factory settings, use various applications to do what not, and then ultimately, jailbreak your iphone. Back in the day, the cracked applications were pretty bad compared to now, even a ping pong game was a big deal. Oh and if you messed up, do it all over again!

It was literally the creation of a new video game, but it paved teh way for what it is today. Nowadays, cracking your iPhone is easy as hooking up your USB to your phone, and clicking a button which does it for you in minutes, and its reliable, flawless, simply exceptional.

This is what it looks like after update ( 2nd picture above)

So to begin, its really simple. Download the Windows ZiPhone here

or

Download the Mac ZiPhone here

Now all you have to do is download the application and extract it with either Winrar or Winzip.

You can download Winzip here if you don’t have it.

Connect your iPhone to your computer and go through teh steps. Make sure you use ziPhone GUI. Once completed, your iPhone will restart and voila! you iPhone is now jailbroken! Congratulations! Now you can crack Google’s SEO algorithm with a little more effort.
